tiny bits and bites like left-over crackers.

Picture yourself on a train in a station,
With plasticine porters with looking glass ties.
Suddenly someone is there at the turnstile,
The girl with kaleidoscope eyes.

Following the rabbit..

Talking about Alice just can't let the cute face of my bunny leave my mind..

(heart)

Several weekend videos.

Jan Švankmajer -FOOD part 1

A bit of the film maker's background:
Jan Švankmajer (born 4 September 1934 in Prague) is a Czech surrealist artist. His work spans several media. He is known for his surreal animations and features, which have greatly influenced other artists such as Tim Burton, Terry Gilliam, The Brothers Quay and many others.

Here's a video from ALICE, quite another version of our Alice.

The film maker kind of reminds me of Picasso, who fall into the love of collage and frottage, those in discrete forms but bring out a interesting story, or perhaps, should be a more bizarre view for art.

And again, what an seducing Alice is of a story, being such a muse to uncountable artists, film makers, also fashion designers.

And this ALICE has certainly left me upsetting about Burton's latest version of the story, which seems SO Disney and TOO Disney, having the make-ups being the only applaud from a fans.

Here's another video for Alice fans- The first filming of Alice in the Wonderland a century ago in 1903.

I have no idea why, but i really think the video is adorable. No flourishes and no unreachable technology, only a simple piano piece and card boards, it is just naive.

The REAL Living-Art.

Timmy

Acrylic on Flesh
5 feet 9 inches
by Alexa Meade

What an inspiration. A portrait on yourself?

Alexa Meade is the first who came up with this super cool and interactive way of painting.

Timmy is my favourite project of hers and there are loads more amazing pieces:

The Art of Garbage

Sorry, this is not A Sunny Afternoon on the Island of Le Grande Jette by George Seurat, but just 106,00 aluminum cans carefully arranged by Chris Jordon, using the number of what Americans are using in every 30 seconds over the country.

I am not a big fan of green, but when imaging how much time the artist has used on just collecting cans around beaches and streets.. it really pretty amazing and what a passion he has got.

Take a look at this close-up and you will perhaps, wonder like i did, how many times he has walked back and forth changing the colour arrangement:

The first fall in love this Morning.

Her Morning Elegance
- the Grammy nominee 2010

Music: Oren Lavie - Her Morning Elegance

Sun been down for days
A pretty flower in a vase
A slipper by the fireplace
A cello lying in its case

Soon she's down the stairs
Her morning elegance she wears
The sound of water makes her dream
Awoken by a cloud of steam
She pours a daydream in a cup
A spoon of sugar sweetens up

And She fights for her life
As she puts on her coat
And she fights for her life on the train
She looks at the rain
As it pours
And she fights for her life
As she goes in a store
With a thought she has caught
By a thread
She pays for the bread
And She goes...
...Nobody knows
Sun been down for days
A winter melody she plays
The thunder makes her contemplate
She hears a noise behind the gate
Perhaps a letter with a dove
Perhaps a stranger she could love

And She fights for her life
As she puts on her coat
And she fights for her life on the train
She looks at the rain As it pours
And she fights for her life
As she goes in a store
With a thought she has caught
By a thread
She pays for the bread
And She goes...
...Nobody knows

And She fights for her life
As she puts on her coat
And she fights for her life on the train
She looks at the rain As it pours
And she fights for her life
Where people are pleasently strange
And counting the change
And She goes...
...Nobody knows

adorable voice, adorable lyrics,
very adorable video.

The nominated music video is now selling the 2096 still flames online:
http://www.hmegallery.com/photos.php

which i think is a very smart idea and the still frames themselves are also artistic enough to be hang on wall above a bed =)
