tiny bits and bites like left-over crackers.

Picture yourself on a train in a station,
With plasticine porters with looking glass ties.
Suddenly someone is there at the turnstile,
The girl with kaleidoscope eyes.

Several weekend videos.

Jan Švankmajer -FOOD part 1

A bit of the film maker's background:
Jan Švankmajer (born 4 September 1934 in Prague) is a Czech surrealist artist. His work spans several media. He is known for his surreal animations and features, which have greatly influenced other artists such as Tim Burton, Terry Gilliam, The Brothers Quay and many others.

Here's a video from ALICE, quite another version of our Alice.

The film maker kind of reminds me of Picasso, who fall into the love of collage and frottage, those in discrete forms but bring out a interesting story, or perhaps, should be a more bizarre view for art.

And again, what an seducing Alice is of a story, being such a muse to uncountable artists, film makers, also fashion designers.

And this ALICE has certainly left me upsetting about Burton's latest version of the story, which seems SO Disney and TOO Disney, having the make-ups being the only applaud from a fans.

Here's another video for Alice fans- The first filming of Alice in the Wonderland a century ago in 1903.

I have no idea why, but i really think the video is adorable. No flourishes and no unreachable technology, only a simple piano piece and card boards, it is just naive.
