This is probably the BEST design reality show that i have watched.
With comparison to popular design reality shows like the Project Runway or Top Design, the show is more of a personal show focusing on Philippe Starck himself, more, his design philosophy. A lot can be learn and deep thinkings are generated, those "behind" of the design itself.
One very memorable thought of him that i found very true is the way a line should be draw between Art and Design. From what I understand, being artistic and beautiful is not the thing for design, but the concept: the problem to solve, the usage or the reason Why.
Designs start with Why and Art don't.
Besides, the show itself and the way it is run is very impressive, the filming and the cinematography is very chic and right on point in every shot, the location Paris is j'adorable while the french accent in Starck's english is perfect.
A totally enjoyable show.
